28th May 2007: There is one fixture remaining in division 1 of the Cambs & Hunts league, but the winners of each division won't be affected: Ely 1 won division 1, Thursday 1 won division 2 and Royston won division 3.

28th May 2007: Catherine Jagger and Jonathan Mestel finished 6th in the Championship Pairs at the Spring Bank Holiday Congress, one place ahead of Chris Jagger, who was playing with Tony Waterlow.

28th May 2007: Chris & Catherine Jagger, Jonathan Mestel and Julian Wightwick have won the County Knockout, beating Matt May's team in the final.

28th May 2007: Sue Oakford, Nadia Stelmashenko, Eryl Howard & Eric Campbell have won the County Plate, beating Ralph Owen's University team in the final.

20th May 2007: The Cambridge team finished 2nd in the regional final of the Garden Cities, qualifying the final and retaining a chance of defending their title.

12th May 2007: Alex Green and Iain Watson finished 6th in the Northants Swiss Pairs.

7th May 2007: Jonathan Mestel, Cath Jagger, Paul Fegarty & Catherine Curtis finished 2nd in the Punchbowl at the Spring Foursomes, one of the highest standard events on the EBU calendar.

29th April 2007: Rod & Sue Oakford won the Jubilee Swiss Pairs.

29th April 2007: Ely A have joined Cambridge A in the fifth round of the NICKO.

22nd April 2007: First match of the new ECL season vs Norfolk: A team lost 0-20, B team won 20-0, C team won 13-7.

22nd April 2007: Road Oakford & Jonathan Mestel were the highest placed pair from Cambs & Hunts in the National Pairs final: 16th of 49. Peter Morgan & Mike Seaver were 26th.

20th April 2007: Cambridge A beat Cambridge B in the County final of the Garden Cities.

15th April 2007: Catherine Jagger played on the England team that finished 2nd in the Lady Milne Trophy (home internationals).

25th March 2007: Rod Oakford & Jonathan Mestel finished 2nd in the Kettering Heat of the National Pairs. Joanne Caldwell & Ian Macdonald and Mike Seaver & Peter Morgan also qualified for the final in 9th and 10th place.

23rd March 2007: The County Knockout Final will be JAGGER vs MAY.

18th March 2007: National Knockout update. Chris Jagger's team has reached the 5th round of Crockfords. Clive Stops' team has reached the 4th round of the Gold Cup. Cambridge A have reached the 5th round of the NICKO. Cambridge University B teams have reached the semi-finals of the Portland Bowl. Cambridge University A lost in the quarter-finals.

17th March 2007: Laurie & Meryl Ward won the Novice Pairs.

15th March 2007: The Cambs & Hunts final of the Garden Cities will be between CAMBRIDGE 1 and CAMBRIDGE 2.

7th March 2007: Final Eastern Counties League results: A team finished 2nd with 87 VPs, B team finished 3rd with 82 VPs, C team finished 1st with 93 VPs.

7th March 2007: Cambridge D have reached round 4 of the NICKO.

4th March 2007: a number of Cambs & Hunts players competed in the Ranked Masters pairs. The best result was by Catherine Jagger, who finished 3rd in the Grand Masters Pairs.

26th February 2007: The County C team have won their division of the Eastern Counties League. One further result is needed to confirm the final positions of the A and B teams.

18th February 2007: Congratulations to Ian Pagan & Chris Jagger for winning the four session National Mens Pairs by over 3%. Victor Milman & Rod Oakford came 8th, with Roger Courtney & Robin Cambery 10th. Catherine Jagger was 4th in the Women's Pairs, playing with Sarah Teshome.

11th February 2007: Cambs & Hunts had a disappointing weekend in the Tollemache final, finishing 7th with 57 VPs out of a possible 140.

11th February 2007: National knockout update. Chris & Catherine Jagger, Ian Pagan and Julian Wightwick have reached the 4th round of Crockfords. The same team was knocked out in the 4th round of the Hubert Phillips. Cambridge A and B have reached the 4th round of the NICKO. Cambridge D and Cambridge University A are still to play in round 3.

4th February 2007: a clear win for Catherine & Chris Jagger in the County Pairs final, with a score of 70.45%.

3rd February 2007: Wendy Pollard won the Open Pairs at the Cyprus Congress.

21st January 2007: Peter Bhagat won the County Individual Final with the fine score of 70.92%.

14th January 2007: ECL vs Essex: A team won 19 - 1, B team won 19 - 1, C team won 17 - 3. That completes the matches for this season, with all three teams on top of their divisions and the C team a chance of staying there.

17th December 2006: ECL vs Suffolk: A team won 13 - 7, B team won 20 - 0, C team drew 10 - 10.

3rd December 2006: ECL vs Bedfordshire: A team drew 10 - 10, B team lost 3 - 17, C team drew 10 - 10.

26th November 2006: an excellent performance by Cambs & Hunts resulted in qualification for the Tollemache final after finishing second in a strong qualifying heat.

22nd November 2006: Congratulations to Cath Jagger on being selected again for the England Ladies team for the Lady Milne (home internationals).

12th November 2006: ECL vs Hertfordshire: A team won 15 - 5, B team lost 3 - 17, C team lost 7 - 13.

29th October 2006: Chris Larlham, David Kendrick, Rod Oakford, Sue Oakford retained the Newmarket Open Swiss Teams. Richard & Sherri Barton, Geoff & Frances Sanders won the Newcomers' teams.

21st October: Chris Jagger & Ian Pagan finished 14th in the 2 Stars Pairs at the Autumn Congress and followed up by winning the Eastbourne Trophy (teams). Mike Seaver & Iain Watson won the Satellite Pairs.

17th October 2006: Many congratulations to Gladys Gittins on receiving a Dimmie Fleming award for an outstanding contribution to the development of bridge at County level. More pictures can be found here.

15th October 2006: Cambs & Hunts won all three matches in the ECL match against the University: A team won 17 - 3, B team won 20 - 0, C team won 18 - 2.

3rd September 2006: Congratulations to Cath Jagger for playing on the England Ladies team that finished 3rd in the European Championships and qualified for the World Championships. Catherine, playing with Sarah Teshome, finished 27th out of 132 players in the Butler scores with an average gain of 0.36 IMPs per board. You can find some commentary in Bulletin 9.

3rd September 2006: The EBU have published the masterpoint reports for 2006. Cath Jagger registered the most total points (11130) and Chris Jagger the most green points (9350).

20th August 2006: Congratulations to Mike Seaver, Peter Bhagat, Dave Harrison and Clive Stops for reaching the B final of the teams at Brighton.

20th August 2006: Forums have been partly removed and will be completedly removed soon - few real posts and it's not easy to eliminate the spam.

13th August 2006: Chrius Jagger and Ian Pagan came 4th of over 400 in the Swiss Pairs at Brighton.

2nd July 2006: ECL vs Northants. A team lost 3 - 17, B team lost 3 - 17, C team won 17 - 3.

25th June 2006: The final league match has been completed and the final results are available. Division winners were CAMBRIDGE 1, SAFFRON WALDEN 2 and HUNTINGDON 3.

17th June 2006: Congratulations to Catherine Jagger, Jonathan Mestel, Catherine Curtis, Paul Fegarty, Mike Seaver, Ian Watson, Victor Milman and Julian Wightwick who have won the Garden Cities National Final, playing for Cambridge Bridge Club.

4th June 2006: Rod Oakford & Jonathan Mestel finished 8th in the Corwen Trophy.

28th May 2006: Catherine Jagger & Chris Jagger won the Championship Pairs at the Spring Bank Holiday congress. They were also 2nd in the Swiss Teams A Flight.

20th May 2006: The Cambridge Club won their regional final of the Garden Cities.

14th May 2005: Dominic Clark & Eryl Howard and Rod & SUe Oakford both finished equal 6th in the Northants Green Point Swiss Pairs.

6th May 2006: CAMBRIDGE 1 (Dave Harrison, Clive Stops, Robin Cambery, Roger Courtney) have retained the first division of the league. NORTH CAMBRIDGE 1 were second.

5th May 2006: Chris Larlham, David Kendrick, Victor Milman & Peter Burrows have won the County Knockout, defeating Sheila Parker's team in the final.

5th May 2006: Matt May, Niel Pimblett, Tristan Williams & Trevor Martin have won the County Plate, defeating Alex Foley's team in the final.

5th May 2006: Cambridge A have reached the last 16 of the NICKO.

1st May 2006: Cath Jagger's team won the Punchbowl Round Robin at the Schapiro Spring Foursomes and then reached the semi-finals of the Knockout where they lost to the winners, featuring Zia Mahmood.

30th April 2006: Toby Kenney & Andre Kueh won the Jubilee Swiss Pairs.

23rd April 2006: ECL vs Norfolk: A team won 10-10, B team won 14-6, C team won 14-6.

4th April 2006: Final ECL results confirmed. A team finished 4th with 79 VPs, B team finished equal 4th with 65 VPs, C team finished 1st with 90 VPs.

2nd April 2006: Catherine Jagger played on the England team that retained the Lady Milne.

26th March 2006: Ian Pagan won the Kettering heat of the National Pairs. Paul Fegarty and Catherine Curtis (2nd) and Roger Gibbons also qualified for the final. Rod Oakford and Don McFarlane (12th) and Nadia Stelmashenko & Victor Milman (14th) just missed out.

19th March 2006: Peter Grice & Ruth Katz won the New Player's Pairs.

8th March 2006: PARKER beat JAGGER to reach the final of the County Knockout where they will play Chris Larlham's team.

5th March 2006: Mike Seaver and Iain Watson came 2nd in the Life Masters' Pairs. Nadia Stelmashenko and Sue Oakford were 5th.

5th March 2006: ECL vs Essex: A team won 11 - 9, B team lost 2 - 18, C team lost 3 - 17.

26th February 2006: ECL vs Hertfordshire: A team won 13 -  7, B team lost 4 - 16; C team won 16 - 4.

25th February 2006: Congratulations to Cath Jagger on her selection for the England team at the European championships.

19th February 2006: Sheila Parker and Julian Wightwick won the County Pairs. The event had to be abandoned at around the three quarter mark because of a power failure, but this result is official.

18th February 2006: Cath Jagger played on the lead that finished second in the National Women's Teams, losing the final by 2 IMPs.

29th January 2006: Congratulations to Sheila Parker and Catherine Curtis who finished 3rd in the National Women's Pairs. Chris Jagger & Ian Pagan were 6th in the Men's Pairs.

29th January 2006: Cambs & Hunts won all three matches in the Eastern Counties League vs Cambridge University: A team won 13 - 7, B team won 11 - 9, C team won 19 - 1.

30th October 2005: Chris Larlham, David Kendrick, Rod Oakford & Sue Oakford won the Newmarket Open Swiss Teams. The Newcomers Teams was won by Alison Woolford, Graeme Hansford, Phil Day & Colin Sills.

22nd October 2005: Draw for the County Knockout.

21st October 2005: Some good results at the Autumn Congress. David Kendrick won the pairs semi-final. Chris Jagger and Ian Pagan were the top finishers from Cambs & Hunts in the final. More details on the results page.

16th October 2005: Cambs & Hunts vs Norfolk in the Eastern Counties League: A team lost 9-11, B team lost 2-18, C team won 17-3.

1st October 2005: EBU has published County master point totals: all time, 2005, gold point.

18th September 2005: Cath Jagger, playing with Sarah Teshome, won the English Women's Trials by a huge margin. Cath wil once again represent England in the Lady Milne.

4th September 2005: Cath Jagger leads the field after stage 1A of the English Women's Trials.

11th August 2005: Congratulations to Rod Oakford on becoming the County's most recent Grand Master.

17th July 2005: Nadia Stelmashenko & Victor Milman came second in the One Day Green Point Hertfordshire Swiss Teams.

13th July 2005: Chris Jagger, Catherine Jagger, Ian Pagan and Julian Wightwick have won the Hubert Phillips Bowl, the English mixed team of four championship. Many congratulations to all of them.

3rd July 2005: Cambs & Hunts won all three matches in the ECL vs Northants: A team won 12-8, B team won 14-6, C team won 17-3.

24th June 2005: Huntingdon 2 beat Cambridge 4 to finish joint top of division 2 of the league (with Shire Hall 1). It seems Shire Hall win the division by winning the head to head match, but both teams should be promoted.

12th June 2005: Congratulations to Catherine Jagger, Jonathan Mestel, Julian Wightwick & Chris Jagger for finishing 2nd in the Pachabo.

28th May 2005: Chris Jagger & Ian Pagan finished 7th of an original entry of 150 in the Championship Pairs at the Spring Bank Holiday Congress. Nidia Stelmashenko & Victor Milman were 14th with Roger Courtney & Robin Cambery 21st. Catherine Jagger & Jonathan Mestel won the Swiss Pairs.
