20th June 2009: The Cambridge club (Chris Jagger, Julian Wightwick, Cath Jagger, Jonathan Mestel, Rod Oakford, Sue Oakford, Jon Cooke, David Kendrick) finished second in the Garden Cities National Final, having previously won the regional final.

20th June 2009: Grzegorz Konopko and Roman Gembicki were second in the Northants One-Day Swiss Pairs, with Bob Vajda and Brian Hope in sixth place.

18th June 2009: Victor Milman and Nadia Stelmashenko finished 14th in the ‘B’ Final of the European Mixed Pairs in San Remo.

14th June 2009: Cambridge D (David Harrison, Peter Bhagat, Alex Green, John Liebeschuetz, Mike Seaver, Iain Watson) reached the quarter-finals of the NICKO with a 27 IMP win over Leverstock Green A.

14th June 2009: Chris, Cath, Jonathan and Julian finished in second place at the Pachabo.

7th June 2009: Victor Milman and Rod Oakford led from the start at the Corwen, but were disappointed to be pipped at the post in the final set.

5th June 2009: Mike Seaver & Peter Morgan finished 1st nationally and 20th overall in the World Wide Bridge Contest.

31st May 2009: A very successful weekend for the Jaggers: Chris Jagger & Ian Pagan won the Pairs at the Spring Bank Holiday Congress. Cath Jagger & Jonathan Mestel won the Swiss Pairs. All four teamed up to win the A flight Swiss Teams.

31st May 2009: Ely 1 beat Peterborough 1 20-0 to win division 1 of the Cambs & Hunts league by 1 VP. Commiserations to Cambridge 2 who won all their matches but fell just short.

14th May: In the EBU Spring Simultaneous Pairs, the Thursday Club’s Fred Allen and Roger Salmon were fourth, with Verity Joubert and Neil Matthews ninth. In the Wednesday event the Cambridge Club’s Ken and Penny Riley were 17th.

10th May 2009: Chris & Cath Jagger, Ian Pagan and Jonathan Mestel have won the Crockfords Cup Final (with Julian Wightwick part of the qualifying team in the knockout stages).

26th April 2009: Greg Konopko & Chris Larlham won the Jubilee Swiss Pairs.

23rd April 2009: Division 4 of the Teams League is complete, resulting in a comprehensive win for University 3. With one match remaining, Huntingdon 3 have won division 3: congratulations to Bill Stevenson, Mike Neverton, Roger Millington, Ken Firth & Guido Cusani.

19th April 2009: Cambridge A won the Garden Cities Qualifier.

28th March 2009: Chris Jagger, Catherine Jagger, Julian Wightwick & Jonathan Mestel have retained the County Knockout.

28th March 2009: Ely A have reached round 5 of the NICKO.

22nd March 2009: Jonathan Mestel & Jon Cooke qualified from the Peterborough heat of the National Pairs.

21st March 2009: Final ECL results: A team finished 8th, B team 4th and C team 5th.

21st March 2009: The County Knockout final will be CURTIS vs JAGGER.

14th March 2009: Barbara Tayabali & Sheila Miers won the Novice Pairs Tournnament.

8th March 2009: Ranked Masters Pairs. Mike Seaver came 3rd in the Life Masters. Roger Courtney & Robin Cambery won the National Masters.

1st March 2009: Chris Jagger, Jonathan Mestel & Cath Jagger, playing with Alan Mould, won the Swiss Teams at the Harrogate Spring Congress. In the Swiss Pairs, Chris & Jonathan were 4th with Cath & Alan 12th out of an entry of 164 pairs.

22nd February 2009: Cambs & Hunts vs Norfolk: A team won 13 - 7, B team lost 9 - 11, C team won 15 - 5.

22nd February 2009: Cambridge B & D have reached round 4 of the NICKO (making 4 teams out of 6). Ely A have also reached round 4.

15th February 2009: Cambs & Hunts finished equal 5th in the Tolle final. In the overall Butler scores, Chris Jagger & Julian Wightwick had the second best score. Cath Jagger & Jonathan Mestel also finished with a positive Butler score.

11th February 2009: the semi-finals of the County Teams Knockout will be CURTIS vs HASLEGRAVE and JAGGER vs KING.

11th February 2009: JAGGER beat CURTIS to reach round 5 of Crockfords. the JAGGER team (CAMBRIDGE A) have also reached round 4 of the NICKO.

8th February 2009: Graham Clarke & Pat Atkin won the County Pairs final.

2nd February 2009: Knockout update. Cambridge E (Howard/Campbell/Jacobsberg/S Oakford) have reached round 4 of the NICKO. Jagger/Jagger/Wightwick/Mestel/Pagan have reach round 4 of Crockfords where they will play a team including Catherine Curtis & Paul Fegarty. Cambridge University A have reached round 3 of the Portland Bowl.

1st February 2009: ECL vs Northants: A team lost 1 - 19; B team drew 10 - 10; C team lost 1 - 19.

25th January 2009: Cath Jagger finished 8th in the National Women's Pairs.

18th January 2009: Gladys Gittins won the County Individual final.

18th January 2009: Paul Fegarty, Catherine Curtis, David Kendrick & Roger Gibbons came 3rd in the National Swiss Teams.

13th December 2008: Congratulations to Cath Jagger on her selection for the Lady Milne trophy next year.

13th December 2008: Cambridge A (Chris & Cath Jagger, Julian Wightwick, Jonathan Mestel) finished as runners up in the 2008 NICKO.

13th December 2008: Catherine Curtis & Paul Fegarty have reached round 3 of the Crockfords Cup, where they will join Chris Jagger's team who had a bye in the first two rounds.

7th December 2008: Cath Jagger came second in the trials for the Lady Milne Trophy (Home Internationals).

30th November 2008: Congratulations to the Cambs & Hunts team for winning their qualifying heat of the Tollemache: Julian Wightwick, Giles Woodruff, Catherine Curtis, Paul Fegarty, Victor Milman, Rod Oakford, Paul Barden, Jonathan Mestel.

24th November 2008: Chris Jagger's team has reach the quarter-finals of the Hubert Phillips. Cambridge B, Cambridge D, Cambridge E, Cambridge F, Saffron Walden B, Peterborough A, Thursday A, and Ely A have reached round 2 of the NICKO.

23rd November 2008: ECL vs University: A team won 13 - 7, B team won 13 - 7, C team lost 7 - 13.

26th October 2008: Chris Larlham, David Kendrick, Rod Oakford & Sue Oakford retained the Open Swiss Teams (Full Result).

19th October 2008: Good results from the EBU Autumn Congress. Cambs & Hunts had 3 pairs in the top 10 of the Two Stars Pairs: Cath Jagger finished 4th playing with David S Jones. Ian Paga & Chris Jagger were 8th with Paul Fegarty & Catherine Curtis 9th. David, Ian, Cath & Chris finished 2nd in the Eastbourne Bowl (Teams A final) with Catherine & Paul on the 4th placed team.

13th October 2008: ECL vs Herts: A team lost 1 - 19, B team lost 6 - 14, C team lost 1 - 19.

12th October 2008: Catherine Curtis's team have reached the semi-finals for the BGB Silver Plate.

5th October 2008: Congratulations to Catherine Curtis & Paul Fegarty on winning the Great Northern Swiss Pairs, a 20-0 win in their last match giving them an 8 VP margin over the pair in second place. Mark Tilley & Mike Trask were 8th.

28th September 2008: Catherine Curtis & Paul Fegarty came 6th of 49 in the Hertfordshire One Day Green Point Swiss Teams.

24th September 2008: Chris Jagger's team have reached the third round of the Hubert Phillips.

21st September 2008: ECL vs Essex: A team won 20 - 0; B team lost 8 - 12.

7th September 2008: Cath Jagger retained the National Women's Teams (Whitelaw Cup). Nadia Stelmashenko & Sue Oakford finished 5th in the qualifying round, just missing out on qualification for the semi-finals.

6th September 2008: Cambridge A have reached the final of the NICKO.

17th August: Chris Jagger & Ian Pagan finished 4th in the A final of the 4 Stars trophy at the Brighton Congress from an original total entry of 191 teams. Catherine Curtis & Paul Fegarty finished 2nd in the B final (10th overall), with Cath Jagger 5th in the B final.

10th August 2008: Catherine Jagger & Jonathan Mestel finished 12th of 476 pairs in the Brighton Swiss Pairs. Catherine Curtis & Paul Fegarty were 26th.

21st July 2008: Chris Jagger's team have reached the semi-final of the NICKO.

2nd July 2008: Ely retain the league first division.

22nd June 2008: Cambridge Bridge Club came 4th in the Garden Cities final.

15th June 2008: Chris Jagger, Catherine Jagger, Jonathan Mestel and Julian Wightwight finished 7th in the Pachabo.

8th June 2008: ECL vs Suffolk: A team lost 0 - 20, B team won 17 -3, C team won 13 - 7.
