28th June 2002: Catherine Jagger finished 2nd in the Swiss Pairs at the Shrewsbury Congress. Chris & Catherine Jagger finished 2nd in the Swiss Teams.

22nd June 2002: Cambridge Bridge Club finished 3rd in the national final of the Garden Cities.

9th June 2002: Peter Oxley & Kit Orde-Powlett won the Jubilee Swiss Pairs.

8th June 2002: Cambs & Hunts finished 7th of 35 in the Pachabo Cup - the inter-County teams of four competition.

2nd June 2002: Alastair Brodie finished 8th in the Championship Pairs at the Spring Bank Holiday Congress. Alastair also finished equal 5th in the A Flight Swiss Teams, level with a team including Giles Woodruff and Gerard Thompson.

18th May 2002: Cambridge 1 finished joint second in the Garden Cities Regional Final and qualified for the National Final.

12th May 2002: John Young & Chris Jagger finished 2nd in the London Swiss Teams.

11th May 2002: Victor Milman, Nadia Stelmashenko, Rod Oakford & Sue Oakford won the Bedfordshire Green Point Swiss Teams.

7th May 2002: Jagger reached the quarter finals of the Provost Cup, the main event in the Spring Foursomes, losing to the eventual winners from Poland. Unfortunately, the EBU web site is short on details!

28th April 2002: Cambridge University A lost in the final of the Portland Bowl.

28th April 2002: John Young came 3rd of 116 in the Swiss Pairs at the Jersey Congress.

28th April 2002: Cambs & Hunts won all three matches in the first ECL match of the new season against Suffolk.

24th April 2002: Toby Kenney, Teymour Tahseen, Andrew de Souza, Jonathan Monroe have won the County Teams Plate, beating PINTO in the final.

20th April 2002: Ely have won the South Cambs League with Saffron Walden in second place.

13th April 2002: Alastair Brodie & Jonathan Mestel finished 3rd in the National Pairs. Sue & Rod Oakford were 10th.

30th March 2002: Chris Jagger won the Championship Pairs at the Easter Festival (London) playing with Ian Pagan.

24th March 2002: Cambs & Hunts supplied four of the top 5 qualifiers from the Peterborough Regional Final of the National Pairs. Sue Oakford & Victor Milman won the competition, followed by William Tunstall-Pedoe & David Carmichael and Rod Oakford & Don Mcfarlane.

23rd March 2002: Don Kyte & Alan Misson won the New Players Tournament.

22nd March 2002: CAMBRIDGE 1 have won the Cambs & Hunts Garden Cities, beating CAMBRIDGE 2 in the final.

22nd March 2002: Alastair Brodie, Don McFarlane, Sonia Zakrewski & Gareth Birdsall have retained the County Knockout, beating MESTEL in the final.

16th March 2002: John Young finished 7th in the Portland Pairs.

10th March 2002: Saffron Walden won the Club Swiss Teams Challenge.

2nd March 2002: Young Young finished 5th in the Grand Masters Pairs.

24th February 2002: Ann Curtin & John Turner won the County Pairs Final.

23rd February 2002: Ely finished 4th in the regional final of the Golfprint Trophy.

10th February 2002: Cambs & Hunts won two matches and lost one in the Eastern Counties League match against Norfolk

27th January 2002: David Richer won the County Individual Final.

26th January 2002: Chris Jagger won the National Mens Pairs, playing with Ian Pagan. Catherine Jagger was 8th in the National Women's Pairs, playing with Sarah Teshome.

27th August 2001: Gareth Birdsall won the EBU under 25 Junior Trials.

12th August 2001: Chris Jagger & John Young finished 2nd in the Swiss Pairs for the Harold Poster Cup in the EBU Brighton Summer Congress. Gareth Birdsall & Ollie Burgess came equal 8th.

11th August 2001: EBU Master Point Ranking Lists 2001. John Young scored more master points than anyone else this year (35517). Chris Jagger was the 4th highest on the list. Peter Morgan was the leading Cambs & Hunts player at level 4, Niel Pimblett at level 5 and Mrs B Knight at level 6. More details here.
